News from CLCC

We are starting the new school year, with new courses, new timetables and new opportunities to learn Portuguese... Our courses vary from intensive to year-long, from beginners to advanced courses and we have private as well as group lessons. Please find the planned start dates for the group courses below. Since April the CLCC has held a monthly event, ´Janela Aberta´. These events are open to our students, foreign residents and their family and friends; everyone eager to learn the Portuguese language.

We started with a Fado afternoon, we had a Guided Tour in the Portimão Museum, we went by boat from Portimão to Silves along the river Arade and we had a typical Portuguese sardinhada in the fishing village of Ferragudo.

On the 29th of October we are going to Vila Real de Santo António, from where we will take a boat trip on the Rio Guadiana to Alcoutim. The Guadiana river forms the natural border between Spain and Portugal. From the boat you can enjoy the view of the Portuguese as well as the Spanish river bank. You will pass by the natural reserve ´Sapal Verde´, with its variety of plants and birds.
In Alcoutim you will walk with a guide through the town, who will show the interesting historial sites, telling you about the history of the town and the region. You will visit the museum and the old fortress, which has a great view on the village of Sanlucar de Guadiana in Spain.
After the guided walk we have a typical regional meal, and at 3PM we embarque again and head back to Vila Real de Santo António.

To confirm your participation we charge 25 euros as a caution. If the trip for any reason is cancelled you get the 25 euros back.
